Potatoes under cover!

The potatoes that were planted in the field to the front of the house in January have just started to sprout above the ground. With night frosts forecast for the next few nights, a protective fleece was laid over the young plants today.





Meanwhile, more potatoes were planted last week in two of the fields below the farmyard, at the back of the house. So, there will be new poatoes available fresh from the fields of County Wexford for most of the Summer to guests in our self catering accommodation!
