Summer 2014 Self-Catering in Wexford

We have one chance for a midweek break still available this June, from Monday the 16th to Friday the 20th at €395 for 2 nights, and just €45 per night for third and subsequent nights. The weekend from Friday the 6th of June is also still available at the same great price!

And, this doesn't seem right, but it is!! 12 people can really stay here for just €7.15 per person per night in August. We have just 2 weeks still available ... from the 16th to the 23rd and from the 23rd to the 30th of August. Up to 12 people can stay for €760 per week, or just €1200 for both of these weeks.

These prices are for large parties of up to 12 people to stay in the farmhouse. Discounts are offered if there are less than 10 people in your group.

Why we ask for a security deposit.

When we set this blog up it was with the intention of promoting our farmhouse accommodation, not with the intention of posting about the lack of respect shown for our house by a tiny minority of our guests. It seemed petty. These people obviously have no shame, so there seems little point in trying to shame them here. But sometimes we need to vent our frustrations, so today we've had a change of heart. Today has been one of those days where we just want to give up letting other people stay in our family home. But we won't. We will clean up, and once we have, we will look forward to welcoming many more guests here this year, and for many years to come. But please don't question us for asking for a security deposit!

The kitchen. As well as the general mess, the floor is sticky with spilled drinks, and the freezer door was left ajar, causing the motor to overheat.

The living room, complete with the hall table and the tv stand from the sun room, and a duvet, along with balloons, and all sorts on the carpet.

Glitter on the coffee table and the carpet in the living room.

A stained mattress, which was found underneath stained sheets and a stained mattress cover.

Spilled drink on a window board.

Overflowing dustbin in the kitchen.

Rubbish piled by the back door instead of being brought out to the shed.

Beer cans filled with cigarette butts in a bedroom. This is a no smoking house, ashtrays are provided for use outside.

What a dressing table is meant for? Includes more cigarette butts, and the accompanying smell.

More stained sheets.

And another stained sheet.

Stained towels.

More stained towels.

The contents of the tv stand in the sun room.

A broken compartment cover from the fridge.

The confetti was stuck to the coffee table in spilled drink, and has left stains.

A cigarette burn in the pvc window board of the bathroom.

The most unfortunate thing about this sort of behaviour is that it leaves us with little choice other than to increase our prices to cover the added expense of cleaning this sort of thing up. Our prices will not increase for 2014, but we may be forced to re-evaluate our prices for 2015.
